Arnaud Delebarre currently builds Massive Open Online Courses for Ecole des Mines de Paris for Master and Ingénieur curricula, and teaches and conducts research projects in the field of Carbon Capture Storage and Valorization, and Energy conversion and Clean Processes.
Graduated from the Engineering School Centrale Lille in 1982 and same year in Automatic Control at Lille Universitiy, he completed an “Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches” in 1997, in Process Engineering under the supervision of Pr. Noël Midoux. Before joining Mines PARISTECH in 2013, he held several positions in the management of research and technology at French National Coal Board and Arcelor, and then within Nantes Engineer School of Mines as Head of Energetics and Environment Department, and in Nancy as the dean of the Engineering School ESSTIN, where he reorganized the strategy and the international as well as societal responsibility activities of the establishment.

Philippe MARTINS
Philippe Martins is professor in the networking and computer science department, at Télécom Paris(previously known as ENST or Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France), since 2010. Before he held a position of associate professor in the same department since 2000.
He obtained his PhD from Télécom ParisTech in 2000 for his work on the design and the performance evaluation of signaling protocols for B-ISDN networks. In 2000, he started working on cellular networks. His main research interests lie in performance evaluation, planning and protocol design. He has published several papers on different international journals and conferences. He is an IEEE senior member since 2010. He is co-author of three chapter books on UMTS and 4G systems. He is also co-author of a book on 4G systems (Springer edition) published in October 2012.
From 2000 to 2006 he worked in several national (ANR, RNRT, URC competitivity cluster on cognitive radio) and European research programs (ITEA) in the area of cellular and wireless communications. He investigated 3G and 4G systems (scheduling, radio resources management, handover algorithms) in collaboration with several companies (Alcatel, France Telecom, SFR, Bouygues Telecom). He had also research activities with TDF (French broadcaster) on joint planning of 3G and DVB-T systems. He worked on PMR systems, in collaboration with EADS, for the design of a high data rate radio interface, in the context of APCO standardization. Between 2006 and 2008, he was involved in wireless standardization activities of CCSDS for the European Spatial Agency. He worked on the design of wireless transmission for on board satellites transmissions and control.In 2008, he started investigations on applications of algebraic topology, stochastic geometry and point processes theories to the design and performance evaluation of wireless systems. Since then, his current investigations address mainly two issues:1. The conception of distributed algorithms for identification and localization of holes in an abstract topological space and their applications in wireless networks. These algorithms can be applied to solve different problems. For example they can be used to address the issue of coverage holes detection and localization in a wireless network. They can also be derived to solve the problems such as energy saving in wireless systems, taking into account coverage and traffic constraints.2. The definition of analytical models for the planning and the dimensioning of cellular systems. These models have been applied to compute analytically the number of resources required in an OFDMA network subject to traffic and radio quality constraints. Different methods have been developed. The first one proposes an upper bound of the outage probability in terms of number resource blocks required. That upper bound is obtained by using concentration inequalities. It is robust against lack of knowledge on some system parameters (propagation model parameters, user traffic constraints) but can be coarse in some situations. A second method relying on Edgeworth expansions has also been proposed. It provides an approximation of the outage probability with an upper bound of the error. Such an approximation is very accurate but is very sensitive and thus requires a good knowledge of system parameters values.In 2008/2009, He did a sabbatical stay at NCRL (National mobile Communication Research Laboratory), in Nanjing, SEU (东南大学)for one year. He worked on cognitive radio capacity and Wireless sensor network dimensioning.

His current position is Professor – researcher at MINES Saint-Etienne (https://www.mines-stetienne.fr/author/borbely/). He teaches Solid State Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Tensor properties of Crystals, and Applications of X-ray diffraction and Imaging in Materials Science to students in Civil Engineering. His research focuses on the development of X-ray diffraction methods for the analysis of the microstructure of crystalline materials, a work that is strongly related to technical advances made at synchrotron sources.

My scientific field of interest encompasses the theoretical modeling of the mechanics of quasi-static evolutionary
elastic and dissipative processes driven by first principles. The formulation of such complex
multi-scale problems within a variational framework, allows me to use asymptotic approaches to study
mutual interaction between inherent scales and extract fundamental properties of the various regimes. I
have focused on the irreversible evolution of fractures in thin film systems, from the modeling, analytic,
and numeric standpoint. This combination of complementary approaches allows me to investigate and
analyze complex physical problems with rigorous mathematical tools as well as independently conceive
and develop numerical codes for their numerical simulation.

Aujourd'hui, la pompe à chaleur (PAC) est largement utilisée pour les applications de chauffage du bâtiment en raison de ses bonnes performances énergétiques. Elle est même considérée comme une source d'énergie renouvelable et, selon la Directive Européenne 2009/28/CE, la part «renouvelable» de l'énergie produite doit être calculée à partir de la performance annuelle. Il est donc important d'être à même de mesurer cette dernière. Or, il n'existe pas, pour les PAC air/air, de méthode fiable et simple permettant de mesurer la performance chez le client pendant une saison. Dans ce contexte, la thèse propose deux méthodes in situ qui répondent à ce besoin. La première est basée sur des mesures non-intrusives des propriétés du fluide frigorigène. Elle utilise le bilan énergétique du compresseur pour déterminer le débit du fluide. La deuxième, fondée sur les mesures côté air, utilise un ensemble de capteurs à fil chaud afin de mesurer le débit et les températures d'air. La thèse développe également une méthode de mesure intrusive du fluide frigorigène, qui n'est pas adaptée aux conditions in situ mais sert de référence pour valider les deux méthodes in situ. Les résultats expérimentaux montrent que la méthode de référence est précise non seulement en conditions stabilisées mais également en fonctionnement dynamique (y compris lors des dégivrages). La validation des deux méthodes in situ a été réalisée par une campagne d'essais spécifique en laboratoire. Une suite intéressante de la thèse consistera à intégrer la méthode non intrusive côté frigorigène directement dans l'équipement de mesure et d'affichage de la PAC.

Today, heat pumps (HP) are widely used as heating systems in building thanks to their high energy efficiency. They are even considered as a source of renewable energy and, according to the EU Directive 2009/28/EC, the amount of renewable energy has to be calculated from the annual performance. Therefore, it is important to be able to measure the annual performance. However, concerning the air-to-air HP there is no reliable and simple method which allows measuring the performance in situ during at least a season. In this context, the thesis proposes two in situ methods that could fill this gap. The first one is based on non-intrusive measurements on refrigerant side. It uses a compressor energy balance to determine the flow rate. The second one, based on air measurements, uses a distribution of hot-wire sensors to determine the air flow rate and temperatures. The thesis also develops an intrusive refrigerant method, which is not necessarily adapted for in situ conditions but can be used as a reference to validate the in situ methods. The experimental results show that the reference method is accurate both in stationary conditions and in dynamic operations (including during defrosting period). The validation of the in situ methods was performed by a specific test campaign in laboratory. As a perspective, the thesis makes it possible to develop on-board measurement methods using non-intrusive refrigerant sensors, providing an opportunity for manufacturers to display the in situ performance in real time.

Eric Godelier is a university professor and holds an agrégation in management sciences. From 2004 to 2017, he served as the head of the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at École Polytechnique, where he was responsible for developing and coordinating courses on business and management. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, he also holds a PhD in history from EHESS.
He is the national delegate for the Conference of Grandes Écoles (CGE) for the humanities and social sciences (HSS) and a member of the Alliance Athéna national network, chaired by A. Petit, CEO of CNRS. Since 2016, he has been president of the French Association for Business History. Additionally, at the Business History Conference (BHC—the world's largest business history association, based in the U.S.), he served on the board from 2020 to 2023. Since 2000,Since 2000, Patricia Desgreys has been Professor at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, Palaiseau, France and she was promoted to Full Professor in 2014. She is heading the Circuit and Communication Systems (C2S) research team at the LTCI Laboratory. She is in charge of research on Wireless Systems and Design for Nanoscale Circuits with special emphasis on Smart Analog & Mixed Signal Systems. So far, she has co-authored more than 160 technical publications mainly on international journals and conference proceedings and has been involved in many collaborative projects. Youssef Mesri is a Full Professor at Mines Paris since January 2015, dedicating his efforts to advancing research and education in computational mechanics and data science. As the founder and Director of the Advanced Master in HPC-AI for Industry, he leverages his experience gained during his tenure as a senior researcher at IFP Energies Nouvelles, where he leads a research ream in computing and data-driven approaches for geosciences.
Youssef Mesri actively contributes as an expert for European and national agencies. He serves as a guest editor and reviewer for several international journals, and since 2016, he has been an invited professor at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, teaching Scientific Machine Learning and Numerical Methods for Fluid Mechanics.
His research focuses on the design of efficient algorithms on distributed systems to address massive data challenges. He has leaded task forces in several international projects for UNEP, IMO and
EU, and has participated to the design of the first Numerical Information Systems integrating spatial oceanographic observations for environmental plans. He is working today on adapting the numerical modelling tools of Fluid

My current research is focused on coastal oceanography using both theoretical, numerical and experimental approaches in addition to remote sensing data analysis. The last years I've conducted several experimental projects and took part to four oceanic surveys in Antartica, the North-Atlantic Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. I was the PI of the DYNED-Atlas project which is focused on operational eddy detection and their 3D characterization from remote-sensing and in-situ data-sets. I am now working on real-time detection and characterization of oceanic eddies using multiple data sets and developing deep learning tools.

Valérie Fernandez
I am a Professor and Chair of Responsibility for Digital IDentity Research (Thales sponsorship), as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the CNRS i3 laboratory and Director of the Master’s in Digital Innovation at Sciences Po (in partnership with Telecom Paris).
As a specialist in digital economy, my research focuses on the socio-economic analysis of digital technologies (governance of digital innovation, market – economic value and user value – analysis, social acceptability). It is part of research projects for the European Commission and for various research organizations, both international (e.g. Cai Yuanpei China) and national (e.g. ANR). It aims to provide recommendations for public policies and for companies (development and experimentation of teleservices platforms, cloud computing solutions, facial recognition technologies, etc.).
On these subjects, I have published about sixty research articles and academic books, and supervised about fifteen PhD theses (twelve defended; three in progress).
As Director of the SES department at Telecom Paris (2013-2017), I was responsible for the creation and management of training programs (Master’s, Master of Science, Executive Master) in partnership with HEC, ESSEC, Ecole Polytechnique and Sciences Po. I was Vice-President of the academic society AIM (2006-2010), member of the Scientific Council of the FNEGE, and Scientific Director of the i3F Chair – Frugal Engineering and Innovation – at the University of Paris-Saclay (2016-2019).

Thomas Houy is senior lecturer in Management at telecom ParisTech. He is the holder of the chair entrepreneurship numerique Etudiant (CENE) signed between LVMH and telecom ParisTech.

He is now a senior consultant at IF Steelman, a consultancy he created in 2013 and which he owns.JP was the director of ULCOS in the years 2000s, a European research program to decarbonize the steel industry and also of the CO2Breakthrough Program at WorldSteel.He is a foreign member of the Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and he received several awards, including the Bessemer Gold Medal in 2003.He is a senior consultant at IF Steelman, of which he is the founder and CEO.He presently teaches in China at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing, where he is an invited Professor and Researcher, and at SPEIT-Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai. He is the Editor in Chief of Matériaux et Techniques, an international Journal published in France. He is an editor with Materials Science and Technology in Paris and with Carbon Neutrality Frontiers in Beijing.
